The Westin New York Grand Central Hotel

During our recent stay in New York for exploring the city's iconic landmarks, we found the convenient location of the hotel allowed us to easily walk to many attractions such as the Empire State Building and Bryant Park. The front desk staff were exceptionally helpful and our room was comfortable, featuring a luxurious rain shower and a cozy king bed. The overall experience was pleasant, and we appreciated the ease of accessing various points of interest from the hotel.

The location was great for exploring Times Square, and the reception staff were friendly, providing complimentary drink vouchers. The room size was perfect, with quick responses to my requests. However, there were issues with room cleanliness and billing errors. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and would return.

I stayed in the room that was cleaned and available specifically for the bath tub. The restaurant was at a medium distance from the hotel.

Though some of the staff were very rude, I had a very good stay. The location was unbeatable, just a pleasant stroll away from A 102-Story Art Deco Skyscraper.

Disappointing aspect was dirty bathroom.

Oh my gosh, can i just say, the bed here 🛏️ is like sleeping on a ☁️! the location was also great, not too chaotic but still close to everything. Only downside was the pricey breakfast 🥐.

The weather was pleasant, had great stay for time. The employees at the hotel were pleasant. The room was luxurious and brand-new, included with great bed.

Had really great stay in the hotel, the staff were efficient, location was magnificent and close to Subway. They provided variety of appetising choices for breakfast that was included.

My check-in experience was a bit rocky with payment issues, but thankfully resolved with help. Room cleanliness could've been better, needing extra requests. However, the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making our stay memorable. Good location, quiet, and enjoyed the service overall. Would return.

Fantastic location, huge rooms, exceptionally comfortable beds. There's a wide array of restaurants to choose from, like Scotty's Diner, set within 5 minutes walk or so, enjoyed its location.

The hotel was in a great location, perfect for exploring the city. The staff were friendly and accommodating, always making us feel welcome. The room was comfortable, with amazing views. Breakfast was a nice touch, and the thoughtful gestures made our stay memorable.

All the facilities are clean, clean hotel, its location is peaceful very close to everything.

Breakfast was delicious with lots of options. Room size was PERFECT for us. Staff were friendly. Not sure if we'd stay again due to noisy neighbors, but overall a good experience. The rooms looked better in photos though!

The hotel's decor was charming and had a comforting ambiance, with large wood headboards and lovely artwork depicting pretty New York scenes. The general areas were spacious and easily accessible for senior folks, making it convenient to navigate. The hotel's proximity to Grand Central Terminal also made it easy for older guests to explore the city comfortably.

The children working there could be more attentive to the needs of senior guests.

The room (breakfast included) was reserved for 3 people but we were only allowed to have 2 breakfasts and we could only choose 3 items, so if we wanted an orange juice and a coffee, we could only have a croissant or a fruit. We had to pay to leave our suitcases in the locker for 2 hours.

Shoutout to Eve and Nilton from the Concierge - they were outstanding! The hotel's gym is a total gem, killer workouts there. Wish I could take it home with me! 🏋️‍♂️ One tiny downside, the check-out process seemed a bit overcomplicated with the double pre-authorization buzz - fingers crossed they streamline that in the future. All in all, a pretty sweet spot.

The welcome, impersonal and limit not pleasant for a high quality/price ratio. An atypical and shocking breakfast mode! while the resa included the breakfast included BUT in the form of a package at 25$ for ALL the room or 3 persons? This is the same as drinking only one tea or coffee and stop! the rest is paid. Never seen before for my part. Very unpleasant because this is only a breakfast included.

I stayed here for 4 nights on a sightseeing and shopping trip with my family. The hotel's location was excellent, making it convenient to visit all the popular attractions and shops. Our room was extremely comfortable and impeccably clean. I loved the added touch of an ice machine in the corridor and an ice bucket in the room, allowing us to chill our wine. We were fortunate to have a room on the 35th floor with a stunning view of the city, especially the Chrysler building at night. The hotel is surrounded by numerous shops and restaurants. The staff was incredibly helpful and went above and beyond to ensure we had a comfortable stay.

Very good staff - Coffee and tea in the room every day - 2 bottles of water offered every day - Room done every day - Quick check in and check out - $35 offered every day at the bar or restaurant - Ideal location to visit New York. We had a sofa bed for our 2 year old child, we had to adapt but it went well.

The mini bar in the room has an automatic system. As soon as you remove a drink or a box, it is automatically taken from the room. Luckily we were able to make the change at check out. And the $35 a day offer does not include the mini bar as explained by the baggage handler. They do not provide a baby bed (2 years old child) even on request.

Proximity to Time Square and Central park. A sandwich shop serving excellent lunches and dinners is located next door. This made it easy for us to leave for the day. On the other hand, it's better to arrive before 9 am since this super small square is a victim of its popularity. Even at Easter, we always had a seat (on the second floor).

A service charge is levied for each night spent at the hotel for the purchase of food and beverages (mini bar or hotel restaurant). A credit of US$35 is given back each day you use this service. The person at check in simply handed us a paper with this and other information on it and told us to read it. However, she did not explain it to us. I think she should have. Many people do not fully understand the benefits of this offer.

The hotel had a rocky start with communication issues and maintenance oversights, but staff quickly resolved the problems. The room was comfortable and clean, with a convenient location for exploring midtown Manhattan. However, the breakfast experience was disappointing and the service lacked attention to detail, impacting overall satisfaction.

I wish the hotel offered a dedicated on-site co-working space for corporate guests like myself to work efficiently in a professional setting.

The rooms at The Westin New York Grand Central are just perfect. I stayed in a room with a King-size bed, and the plush Simmons Beautyrest mattress felt like sleeping on a fluffy cloud. The panoramic city views from the room were absolutely stunning, and the nightly turndown service made me feel truly pampered.

The in-room safes were a bit small for my liking. But, I mean, I could still fit my essentials in there, so it's not a big deal.

The Westin Grand Central is conveniently located in midtown, close to everything. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and recently renovated. The front desk staff went above and beyond by being thoughtful and attentive, even providing a fruit plate and card for our anniversary. The hotel is within walking distance of buses to the airports, making it easy to travel. The amenities and facilities of the hotel made our stay enjoyable.

We felt completely relaxed during our stay at The Westin Grand Central, with nothing being too much trouble.

The hotel's location near Grand Central Station turned out to be a gem. Just one avenue away on 2nd Ave, we stumbled upon a vibrant nightlife that could compete with the energy of a buzzing beehive! It was the perfect spot for evening strolls and impromptu adventures.

The television in our room didn't work properly and required the light switch to be kept on. the thermostat didn't cool the room adequately, making it uncomfortably warm.

The location of the hotel is unbeatable, within walking distance of Grand Central and various cafes and restaurants. Our room was clean and comfortable. Despite the paid wifi, we were able to access free wifi in the lobby. we had a pleasant stay at Westin.

Great Easter weekend! Low rates all around and excellent service. Helpful, friendly staff and a hairdryer in the room, which is a nice touch. the facility fee of $25 per day was a surprise, but it can be used for extras like a yoga class or food. Wish I had known sooner that it could be used in the Starbucks in the lobby. the hotel let us use our unused credits at once when we checked out, which was a kind gesture.

Poor customer service and inability to resolve problems. Even with confirmation of a requested twin room, the hotel refused to honor it upon arrival.

We had a fantastic experience at this luxurious 4-star hotel! The location was absolutely perfect for exploring the city and visiting the popular tourist destinations. We loved that there was a bar on-site where we could relax and enjoy drinks, especially since some other places only had outside areas. The room was spacious and comfortable, with amenities like ironing facilities, a mini-bar, and air conditioning. The staff were incredibly helpful and provided excellent service, from the room service to the wake-up calls. We were impressed by the range of facilities available, including a fitness center and a restaurant with delicious food options. The staff even had an express service for any urgent requests, which was a convenient touch.

We were able to take the airport shuttle from JFK to the beautifully renovated Grand Central Terminal with one clearly marked underground transfer, cost $7.50 each! Just a two block walk to the hotel. The bed was great, and we have a new Tempurpedic at home! No need to ask for extra pillows, they were there. I wanted high, we were on the 39th floor! I requested a view of the Chrysler Building, we got that and the Empire State Building too! The windows opened a few inches to allow circulation of fresh air, though the air conditioner was more than adequate in getting us through an unusually warm summer spell. The staff was helpful in their suggestions re: eateries, directions to the iconic sites. They graciously held our bags for us as we had a late flight out and one more day to enjoy the city. Housekeeping was respectful of our West coast circadian rhythms and our request for only caffeine-laden coffee, extra cream, and sugar. We loved the extra-large shower stall, the rain shower heads, and the wands for a concentrated spray for rinsing your hair or hard to reach places. Cozy, microfiber robes were perfect for lounging on the bed watching free premium channels or current movies to buy. The down-like comforter from the closet made the transition from the hot shower to the cooled room. We didn't feel the need to use the available workout equipment after having walked to Times Square, 5th Ave and all it offers, and exploring the side streets for a pub or deli. Even late at night, there were policemen everywhere, we felt safe. Vendors set up on the streets around tourist destinations at night, but no one ever approached us attempting to sell knock-off bags or watches. The city itself is so much cleaner than it was when I was a young New England resident and visited often.

We loved the fact that this place is located right near big attractions and had a lovely outdoor area for the bar, which many other places lacked for the non-vaccinated. The staff was very helpful, providing us with excellent service, quick laundry and room service, and regularly cleaned our room. They were responsive to our requests, including offering tea and coffee facilities, sitting area, and an in-room safe. We enjoyed our time indoors and outdoors, thanks to air conditioning, flat-screen TV, and patio. The dining restaurant, bar, and leisure facilities were fantastic, including the fitness centre and luggage storage.

I highly recommend this hotel to everyone, as this place met all our requirements, and we enjoyed our stay to the fullest.

The staff welcomed me with a hot drink on my first stay. Luggage storage, 24-hour room service, and a fitness center suit me perfectly. With a flat-screen TV and pet-friendly policy, it has all I need. I keep coming back for my city trips.
